About The Position

The Epic Orders Analyst designs, builds, tests, deploys, and optimizes Epic Orders workflows, including order sets, routing, transmittal, preference lists, and integrations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant ordering workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in nursing, healthcare, IT, or related field
• 1–3+ years clinical or EHR experience
• strong analytical and workflow‑mapping skills
• excellent communication skills

• Epic Orders certification
• experience with regulatory requirements
• familiarity with order workflows and optimization

Responsibilities

• System Design & Build: Build/maintain orders, order sets, preference lists, SmartTools; configure routing, class/priority logic, release selections; maintain transmittal to downstream systems; analyze requirements; participate in upgrades.
• Clinical Workflow & Optimization: Partner with clinicians; analyze ordering trends; implement enhancements; support governance processes.
• Testing & Validation: Develop/execute test scripts; validate downstream results.
• Project Delivery: Support projects, upgrades, NOVA releases; prepare cutover plans; maintain documentation.
• Support & Maintenance: Resolve incidents; monitor work queues; troubleshoot transmittal and interface issues; provide on‑call support.
• Training & Communication: Partner with training teams; create tip sheets; communicate changes.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure build meets regulatory and clinical safety requirements; support CDS stewardship.
