A Day in the Life In this exciting role as an Equipment Maintenance Technician supporting Manufacturing, you will have responsibility for supporting manufacturing of high-quality components used in implantable medical devices. The Fort Worth facility supports the design, development, and production of components used in implantable devices for a variety of Medtronic businesses. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment with minimal supervision. At this level, you are expected to handle breakdowns, execute preventive maintenance at a high standard

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and 4 + years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Basic computer skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders, work at heights and work in industrial environments
  • Willingness to work off-shifts, weekends, overtime, and emergency call-outs as
  • Previous Medical Device Manufacturing Experience
  • Electrical and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) troubleshooting/repair experience
  • Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities on Production Equipment and timely update preventive maintenance schedule in Indysoft .
  • Perform daily check and timely update for OCAP/Floor Action Alert events when assigned
  • VFD setup and parameter adjustment
  • Fabrication skills
  • Basic automation and controls familiarity
  • Root cause analysis beyond basic “fix and go ”.
  • Strong CMMS discipline, including failure coding and parts tracking

Responsibilities

  • Independently p erforms installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.
  • Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
  • Uses a variety of hand , power, and test tools and equipment.
  • May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
  • Complete maintenance work orders accurately in the CMMS, including failure descriptions and parts used
