About The Position

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Troubleshoot and rectify machine down situations. Perform scheduled, routine preventive maintenance using established procedures. Rebuild and prepare implanter assemblies for quick installation. Set up and run equipment after repair and, occasionally, in production. Maintain shop equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; requesting repairs. Maintain equipment historical reference by documenting actions on the computer system. Share knowledge of equipment by training and coaching fellow employees. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Capable of demonstrating a working knowledge of problem solving, fault finding, and analysis using a range of standard practices and techniques. Reads and understands electronic, electrical circuits. Has the ability to repair electronic circuitry to the board level. Understands and is technically capable using various types of commercial and vendor proprietary software in the process of repairing production equipment. Maintains hazardous and inert gas handling systems to include cylinder changes. Orders parts and materials that are required to complete assigned tasks. Works with minimal supervision on routine tasks. Helps to train fellow technicians on tasks they are certified to do. Basic understanding of chemistry and the hazards of working with and around chemicals. Repairs and maintains chemical and solvent handling equipment. Repairs and calibrates process equipment requiring high vacuum equipment and associated support systems. Performs daily checks and inspections. Other duties may be assigned. Ability to work on a shift including off-shifts. Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment. Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently Education & Experience AS degree in Electronics or equivalent training (minimum) with background in Electronics  Experience repairing complex manufacturing equipment (8+ years preferred). Semiconductor equipment experience preferred (specifically vacuum systems, and/or ion implanters). Extensive ability to do electronics troubleshooting is needed. Equivalent Military experience will also be considered. Training in the handling of hazardous chemicals, gases, and materials. Skills Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to read, analyze technical procedures, documentation, instruction manuals, and or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers and management.
