Equipment Manager
About The Position
Mad Science of Hampton Roads has been delivering educational and entertaining science programs for elementary-aged children since 2008. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable team player that would like to join our team in the role of Equipment Manager. You will be working in a fast-paced environment. Your main work location will be our office in Chesapeake, but some driving to other locations is required. Mad Science is a powerhouse brand with locations around the globe! For over 35 years, we have sparked imaginative learning through our summer camps, birthday parties, in-class workshops, after-school programs, and special events for kids ages 3-12. Become part of our team and help us inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers. Our locations are always looking for part-time instructors and full-time office staff.
Requirements
- Completes background check
- Self-motivated
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Reliable team player
- Works well in a fast-paced environment
- Car and valid driver's license
- Minimum of 20 years old and 2 years of college, OR equivalent experience in a similar position
Responsibilities
- Ensures kits/equipment are in good condition for all programs
- Oversees and conducts equipment check-in and check-out procedures
- Ensure all chemical products are properly labeled and stored
- Serves as a substitute instructor when needed
