About The Position

This position will lead the development, implementation and execution of the Equipment Reliability Strategy for the facility. This includes involvement and leadership in developing the TPM environment. The Equipment Reliability Manager is also responsible for leading the maintenance and reliability strategy for an aluminum extrusion and fabrication facility. This role ensures optimal equipment performance, minimizes downtime, and drives continuous improvement in asset reliability, safety, and cost efficiency. The manager will oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs, manage a maintenance team, and collaborate cross-functionally to support production goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or Applied Sciences preferred.
  • At least 7+ years of industrial experience in a maintenance, mechanical or similar type position preferred.
  • At least 2+ years as Maintenance Manager or Equipment Reliability Manager preferred.
  • Prior experience with project management preferred.
  • CMMS – Computerized Maintenance Management System experience.
  • Experience leading TPM or Lean in a Mfg. environment.
  • Capable of designing and quoting Capital & Expensed projects

Nice To Haves

  • TPM based educational training a plus.
  • CMRP - Certified Maintenance and Reliability is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and/or maintain an effective preventive & predictive maintenance program (including repair, modification and installation of equipment) in order to improve production efficiency and ensure optimum machine uptime availability.
  • Develop the 8 TPM pillars with technical resources and coaching to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Coordinates the Effective Maintenance (EM) pillar resources to deliver reliable maintenance processes including: 5S, Visual Factory and spare parts inventories for all new and existing equipment as well as equipment modifications.
  • Review plant production equipment environment (e.g., technology, systems, quality, cost, efficiencies, yield) in order to recommend process improvements.
  • Act as an organizational change agent focused on driving operational growth and improving operating margin.
  • Manage plant level capital projects in conjunction with the management team.
  • Develop a work environment within maintenance that promotes trust, teamwork quality and safety.
  • Assign accountability, build teams, hire, develop, evaluate, train, coach and discipline with corrective action as needed.
  • Assist in the establishment, analysis, and submission of yearly departmental budgets
  • Develop Root Cause strategies for the department reducing breakdown loss.
  • Ensure Maintenance Departments compliance with all company policies and procedures
