About The Position

Provides Emergency Room technical support to optimize patient care including direct patient observation, room prep for patient flow, department stocking, transporting patients to other departments, placing patient on cardiac and vital sign monitors, obtaining lab specimens and documenting all care / procedures provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• EMT Certification
• Current BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Works with and assists physicians and nurses in providing technical support for patient care.
• Reports on the condition of patients to the nurse and others as appropriate.
• Cleans and stocks carts, room, and other environmental duties as assigned.
• Assists with transport of patients to other departments.
• Assists with placement of vital sign monitoring equipment and reports readings to clinical staff.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic patient care environment.
• Collection and delivery of lab samples for analysis.
• Other duties as assigned with accompanying competency evaluation.
