About The Position

As part of our supply chain organization, the Regional Category Manager, Fabrication, will contribute to the creation and execution of the global category strategy for metal fabricated components, assemblies, and lugs and neutrals across the North American region. This role will oversee approximately $60M in direct Lugs & Neutrals spend and provide strategic support for an additional $175M in fabrications spend. The RCM will drive category performance toward best‑in‑class outcomes—including cost, commercial value, working capital, quality, delivery, resiliency, and VAVE—by identifying synergies across businesses and reinforcing the “One Eaton” approach in partnership with stakeholders, operations, and centers of excellence (ESSP, Should Cost, DMP, One Part, etc.). The position is responsible for supplier relationship and performance management, including leading negotiations, conducting business reviews, and resolving supply-related issues. Additionally, this role will support continuous improvement initiatives that advance procurement excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum 4 years of procurement or program management experience required.
  • No relocation is being offered for this role, candidates must be located within a 50 mile radius of an Eaton site to be considered.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA preferred.
  • Background in Carbon sheet steel, stampings, sheet metal fabrication, and/or turned parts category management is preferred.
  • Understanding of purchasing tools such as should costing, eRFQs and eAuctions.
  • Demonstrated ability to root cause and drive actions associated with supplier issues. Understanding of the role Supply Chain plays in supporting manufacturing sites.
  • Experience in driving category metrics/KPIs to achieve Eaton's year over year goals
  • Strategic Thinking, Negotiation, Data/Contract Management, Presentation and Influencing Skills.
  • 25% travel experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with assigned Electrical North America category suppliers and Eaton plants to execute sourcing strategies that deliver improved resiliency and cost out to ensure supply continuity for growth and optimized pricing for sustained market competitiveness.
  • Negotiates and manages supplier contracts in accordance with NA business practices and EIIL contracting guidelines established by Office of Supply Chain Management.
  • Ensures that key category metrics (cost out, resiliency, working capital, contracted spend, diversity, DPPM etc.) are driven to optimal conditions.
  • Reviews economic and market trends to advise the business on optimal sourcing strategies and any changes to supplier lead times for assigned categories.
  • Maintains business relationship with suppliers and key stakeholders within Eaton.
  • Ensures that high level of quality and delivery performance is maintained by suppliers and associated partners at all times.
