Requirements

• Hold a NJ Instructional and/or a second language certificate in accordance with the state requirements, preferred
• Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
• Have an excellent experience in teaching and working with at risk youth and young adults
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one and in a small group setting with students to help them gain the GED skills necessary to pass the language arts, math, science, and social studies to gain their alternative high school diploma
• Work with students to gain the necessary job readiness skills to enter the world of work
• To teach and assist with workplace readiness skills, college and career development
