About The Position

The instructor is responsible for delivering academic lessons in English as a Second Language. The instructor provides group and individual instruction to adult language learners and to learn English, civics, work readiness, and English Language instruction. The instructor will embed digital literacy and use of a variety of software to help with ESL instruction as well as supporting CASAS pre and post testing. Classes will be delivered face to face or virtual in a flexible schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in education or related field
• One year of experience in language instruction
• Familiar with utilizing online instructional programs
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and have access to a private vehicle for day-to-day job performance

Nice To Haves

• Rosetta Stone program preferred
• Endorsement in ESL or TESOL
• Experience in teaching adult education preferred
• Valid elementary or secondary Michigan Teaching Certificate or related instructional certificate program preferred
