ESL Teacher
About The Position
EF International Language Campus of English is seeking qualified ESL teachers to join our academic team at our Tarrytown, NY campus in a full-time hourly capacity. This position is ideal for experienced teachers seeking consistent teaching schedules, ongoing professional development, and long-term growth within EF. Resources and curriculum are provided. As a Full-Time Hourly ESL Teacher, you will deliver high-quality English language instruction using EF’s blended learning model while contributing to a collaborative and professional academic environment. Full-time hourly teachers receive priority scheduling consideration for new academic terms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- TEFL certification (CELTA or equivalent preferred)
- Proficient English level (C2)
Nice To Haves
- Experience preparing students for standardized ESL exams (TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Teach scheduled contact hours as assigned by Academic Management
- Deliver high-quality instruction using EF’s blended learning program
- Complete required administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare materials and resources relevant to assigned courses, including handouts, quizzes, tests, and assignments
- Support students with academic queries and communicate appropriately with relevant departments
- Actively participate in teacher meetings and staff development activities
- Maintain professional standards aligned with EF academic policies
