About The Position

LAB TEST ENVIRONMENT COORDINATOR The ESS Lab Test Environment Coordinator is responsible for managing all OTC-related documentation, processes, and procedures. This role serves as the central point of coordination for the Development (DUCS), Test (TUCS), and Pre-Production (PUCS) environments. Working directly under the Lab Lead, the Coordinator validates and allocates resources and manning to ensure the successful execution of projects and Change Requests (CRs) for systems such as PSAC-EA, NPACS, and vLAMAS.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate's degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. (Experience may be substituted for a degree.)
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on system administration experience supporting enterprise environments, with at least 2 years focused on DoD or Federal systems.
  • Clearance: Must possess an Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Certification (DoD 8570/8140): Must hold an IAT Level II certification or higher (CompTIA Security+ CE is required
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with NAVWAR SIPH, CNIC Program standards, and TAA-compliant equipment procurement
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience performing DISA STIG application and troubleshooting resultant system issues.
  • Hands-on experience with automated vulnerability scanning tools such as ACAS or Tenable Nessus.
  • Expertise in Windows Server administration (2016/2019/2022).
  • Familiarity with networking principles and secure communications (e.g., firewall rules, secure protocols).

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience supporting U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard C4ISR, training, or mission systems.
  • Proficiency with VMware vSphere and managing virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
  • Experience documenting compliance and security evidence in eMASS.

Responsibilities

  • Project & Task Management: Maintain and verify an master list of all projects, tracking the overall progress and status of all tasks and CRs from initiation through completion.
  • Resource Coordination: Receive and validate resource requests, coordinating with the Lab Lead to determine proper lab manning and equipment allocation.
  • Change Management Oversight: Oversee Change Management activities to ensure all hardware or software modifications adhere to the CNIC Enterprise Change Request approval process.
  • Lab Governance: Receive, review, and approve Lab Visit Requests, verifying proper security clearances and preventing scheduling conflicts with lab resources.
  • NIWC Liaison: Review and present project status reporting to NIWC Pacific and provide weekly or as-needed updates upon receiving Lab Lead approval.
  • Historical Records: Archive projects upon completion and maintain detailed historical records of all lab activities and visit request outcomes (Approved/Declined).
  • Process Creation: Responsible for the creation and periodic review of all lab processes and procedures, including the Lab Concept of Operations and Safety Processes.
  • Configuration Artifacts: Manage and update system documentation, including SOPs, configurations, drawings, topologies, and VISIO drawings.
  • Baseline Maintenance: Support the Lead System Engineer (LSE) in defining and updating Baseline Configuration artifacts for each system deployed in the lab.
  • Inventory & Logistics: Maintain the inventory of all lab-owned equipment within the AIM system and coordinate movements or shipments between locations (e.g., OT2 to OT3).
  • Quality Assurance: Facilitate the development of Quality Assurance Workbooks and verify Baseline documentation accuracy through quarterly audits.
