The Raytheon Estimating and Pricing (E&P) organization has an exciting opportunity to join a talented team supporting proposal and capture efforts for the Air and Space Defense Systems (ASDS) business unit. This position will be for a direct charging employee supporting programs located onsite in Tucson, AZ. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the preparation of various types of proposals for development, production and competitive contracts including modifications to existing contracts. In addition, the Estimating organization supports gate reviews, government audits and negotiations with the customer. The chosen candidate will be expected to support programs onsite, with opportunities to work remotely as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree
  • This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)
  • U.S. Citizen - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Excel (i.e., basic formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, etc.)
  • Experience with multiple Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint)
  • Good investigative abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines in a schedule-driven environment
  • Effective planning and scheduling skills that lead to the completion of proposal efforts in accordance to customer and company requirements
  • The ability to work well in teams, with peers and management
  • The ability to follow and apply internal and external regulations to the development of company proposals

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for the development of Basis of Estimates to include validating and examining actuals, ensuring consistency within task descriptions, and confirming estimating approach is sound
  • Utilize company programs and tools for estimating and pricing activities.
  • Develop Request for Estimates which are used to kick off proposals
  • Prepare non-complex Gate 4 charts for program/company leadership review of proposal information
