About The Position

The Estimator/Planner is responsible for developing accurate project estimates and ensuring that resources—materials, machines, and manpower—are identified to meet deadlines and maintain quality. This role is both analytical and collaborative, requiring regular coordination with engineering, purchasing, production, and sales teams.

Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years in estimating or production planning in a manufacturing environment (fabrication, textiles, or similar industry preferred).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong mathematical ability and cost analysis skills.
Exceptional time management with the ability to handle multiple projects at once.
Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

Review and interpret customer drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Identify material requirements, production steps, labor needs, and equipment requirements.
Build estimates that include bills of material and labor hours.
Develop and maintain detailed production build packages that optimize workflow.
Coordinate with purchasing to ensure that material quantities are identified and sourced in accordance with customer requirements.
Identify necessary machines, processes, and personnel needed to complete jobs.
