About The Position

Techno is seeking an experienced Estimator to support cost review and validation services for structural bridge replacement and full roadway reconstruction efforts. The program includes excavation, drainage separation systems, retaining walls, steel erection, traffic staging, and coordination across multiple jurisdictions.
This position requires strong public-sector infrastructure estimating experience and the ability to validate contractor pricing for complex structural and civil scopes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
• Minimum 9 years of relevant heavy civil estimating experience
• Demonstrated bridge and roadway reconstruction estimating background
• Familiarity with NYSDOT standard specifications and roadway construction pricing
• Experience supporting projects for MTA Construction & Development or LIRR preferred
• Strong proficiency in cost estimating software and Excel-based cost modeling

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze contractor bids and change order proposals
• Prepare independent cost estimates for bridge, roadway, drainage, and structural elements
• Validate labor, equipment, and material pricing
• Evaluate claims tied to schedule impacts and rail outages
• Provide cost analysis reports to project leadership
• Support quantity takeoffs and reconciliation
