Position Summary Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an equipment engineer interested in working alongside a talented team of professionals with a key focus on establishing and maintaining world class process/equipment and implementing yield enhancement as a competitive advantage along with ability to identify complex problems and implementing solutions.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or related field of study plus a minimum of 2 years of industry experience.
  • All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor require you to be onsite.

Nice To Haves

  • 300mm Dry Etch experience highly desired.
  • Familiarity with Etch Equipment is highly desired. (Lam, TEL, AMAT, Hitachi, SEMES, Mattson, PSK, etc.)
  • Familiar with TPM concepts
  • Prior experience with Etch process within a semiconductor organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Working in the factory with the Equipment/Process Technicians and other Engineers to support troubleshooting and maintenance activities with a mindset towards root cause analysis, standardization, and 5S
  • Understanding and being able to sustain the factory by performing tool qualifications, lot dispositions, and interlock/alarm reduction activities
  • Running experiments and analyze data to improve capacity, tool to tool variation, and defect performance
  • Performing assigned trend monitoring activities regularly and work with Tool Owners to implement corrective actions
  • Utilizing TPM concepts and LEAN tools to implement systematic solutions for long-term prevention of issues
  • Attending passdown meetings to communicate factory state with respect to the Team’s Equipment.
