About The Position

Title: Event Assistant, Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods (Seasonal, 30 hours per week, June to August) Work Schedule: Must be able to work a varied schedule Tuesdays through Sundays (mornings and afternoons). Hours depend on performance schedule. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience with monetary transactions.
  • Must have a customer-service oriented mindset and maintain a demeanor of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills, detail-oriented, and computer efficiency.
  • Must be available 30-40 hours a week from June-August, including early mornings and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Artist Hospitality: organize, document, and purchase food and beverage inventory, set up and break down dressing rooms daily, and ensure a clean and inviting space for artists throughout the season.
  • Box Office: sell tickets, answer patron questions, run ticket reports, and keep Will Call and Group Sales tickets organized for day-of pickup.
  • Artist Merchandise: organize and count in and out artist inventory, set up and break down selling area daily, complete sales transactions using Toast software, and reconcile sales and run sales reports.
  • Attend and present pertinent information at weekly production meetings.
  • Provide support for auxiliary activities such as Artist Workshops, Stay & Play, and onsite mascot (Wolfie) appearances.
  • Other duties as assigned.
