Position Summary The Event Manager will manage every aspect of events in the facility from the advance planning stages through the end of the event; position will work with third parties to recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate all front of house event staff including building security, guest services, medical staff, coordination of police presence, and parking issues and interact with local public safety officials to ensure events run smoothly; coordinate communication between event related staff and delegate assignments; be responsible for and ensure overall customer and lessee satisfaction. This role pays an annual salary of $44,000-$59,000 Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays) This position will remain open until May 22, 2026. About the Venue The Enmarket Arena is a 9,500-seat arena with luxury suites, club seating, and first-rate food and beverage. The Enmarket Arena bolsters entertainment in the Southeast by hosting must-see national touring concerts, family shows, comedians, and more. The venue also expanded sports in the region by introducing a tenant ECHL hockey team, the Savannah Ghost Pirates, along with presenting professional, collegiate and amateur sporting events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Technical degree from an accredited college/university/school preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in facility events and operations management or an equivalent degree with in Sports and Entertainment Management.Related experience and/or training in the public assembly industry in a supervisory or management position.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule including, early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and extended number of consecutive days.
  • Knowledge of budget preparation and control.
  • Proficient knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of operational characteristics of events, including crowd management and control techniques; fire and public safety regulations, food service practices.
  • Self motivated with excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to function and make management decisions in a fast paced high pressure environment with strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Theater technical equipment and production preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and facilitating the logistics of events throughout Enmarket Arena and the Johnny Mercer Theatre.
  • Work with and in support of the VP of Events and Operations and Senior Event Manger to coordinate, plan and execute events throughout the arena and outside surrounding areas.
  • Timely and accurately communicate with building staff and all requirements necessary for the event.
  • Prepare event estimates as determined by requirements using annual budget as a guide.
  • Work with third party groups to select, train, motivate and evaluate Front of House and Back of House staff.
  • Coordinate event seating layouts with ticket office when necessary.
  • Coordinate show requirements with tour production managers.
  • Prepare data sheet for building personnel prior to each event.
  • Present event previews/reviews in weekly staff meeting.
  • Develop and control event budgets including preparing pre-show event financial estimates and completing post-show financial settlements based on contractual.
  • Deliver timely and accurate event information to the finance department for settlement/invoicing.
  • Troubleshoot during event preparation and during event to ensure that all event setups are correct including making decisions about policy, procedures, billing and staffing.
  • Oversee all production, set up, event staff, event-related contract services.
  • Schedule through third party for event staff, security staff, police fire and EMS staff and delegate assignments and review performance and results.
  • Facilitate event load ins and load outs that are typically early in the mornings and/or late into the evenings.
  • Communicate in a timely fashion to the VP of Events and Operations and Senior Event Manager.
  • Receives and responds to tenants and the public or refers them to the VP of Events and Operations.
  • Prepares events reports noting attendance, times, significant problems.
  • Interacts with other facility staff in a courteous, cooperative, and professional manner.
  • Other duties and responsibilities asssigned.
