About The Position

The Event Meeting Manager (Sales & Service) is responsible for both selling event and meeting space and managing the full execution of booked events. This role combines business development, client relationship management, and event coordination to ensure successful events and high client satisfaction. The manager identifies sales opportunities, secures bookings, and oversees all event logistics from planning through post-event follow-up. This position serves as the primary liaison between the client and hotel departments to ensure successful execution of events and exceptional guest experiences. The Event Meeting Manager works closely with Front Desk, Banquets, Culinary, Audio Visual, and other operational departments to manage event logistics, communicate client expectations, and ensure all event details are executed accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in hotel event planning, conference services, catering, or hospitality sales support preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel event management systems (such as Delphi, Opera, or similar platforms).
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients from contract signing through event completion.
  • Coordinate all meeting and event logistics including room setup, food and beverage, audiovisual needs, and timelines.
  • Prepare and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure accurate communication with operational departments.
  • Conduct pre-conference and pre-event meetings with clients and internal teams.
  • Manage meeting room assignments and event space according to group requirements.
  • Review billing instructions and final invoices with clients.
  • Upsell additional services, menu enhancements, and event upgrades to maximize revenue.
  • Ensure seamless on-site execution of events and provide support during programs as needed.
  • Address and resolve any client concerns or operational challenges promptly.
  • Conduct post-event follow-up to ensure client satisfaction and identify future opportunities.
