Position Summary The Event Police Officer provides professional law enforcement presence and security support during events to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and property. This role is responsible for maintaining order, responding to incidents, and providing a visible police presence while delivering excellent customer service. Officers assigned to this role must be active Maryland Heights Police Officers and will support event operations by helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all attendees. This role will pay an hourly wage of $50. Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. This position will remain open until June 12, 2026.

Requirements

  • Must be a currently active and sworn officer with the Maryland Heights Police Department.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced event environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergencies and security situations.
  • Commitment to public safety and providing exceptional service to event guests.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as events require.

Responsibilities

  • Provide secondary police coverage for events as scheduled or needed.
  • Maintain a visible law enforcement presence to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, performers, and event participants.
  • Monitor event spaces, entrances, exits, and surrounding areas to prevent and address safety or security concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances in a professional and timely manner.
  • Enforce applicable laws, regulations, and event policies.
  • Coordinate with event management, security staff, and emergency services when necessary.
  • Assist with crowd management and traffic control when required.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests, answering questions, and maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
  • Prepare incident reports and documentation when necessary.
