About The Position

The Truck Driver is responsible for safely transporting event equipment, materials, and crew to and from local and out-of-town event sites. This role requires a Class A CDL license, a flexible schedule, and the ability to support event operations as both a driver and general stagehand.

Requirements

  • Class A CDL license and DOT Medical Card
  • Minimum two years experience, and comfortable with towing large loads
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Child Protection Clearances

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift, lift, and other equipment certifications
  • Experience working in live events or stagehand work

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company trucks and vehicles, including tractor-trailers, box trucks, and tow vehicles, in a variety of environments; this is not a dock-to-dock position and requires navigating city streets, rural locations, tight access points, close-quarter environments, and obstacle-heavy job sites
  • Maneuver vehicles in challenging conditions, including limited-clearance areas, uneven terrain, and confined spaces where precise backing, turning, and positioning (including potential jackknife scenarios) are required
  • Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, promptly reporting any safety or mechanical issues
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance and care across the company fleet to ensure safe operation, including checking and topping off fluids, greasing fittings, replacing light bulbs, wiper blades, and fuses, maintaining proper tire pressure, and keeping vehicles clean and job-ready; report any issues requiring professional repair to the Fleet Manager
  • Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring all equipment and materials are properly secured and accounted for
  • Handle local deliveries, pickups, and over-the-road (OTR) trips to event sites
  • Assist onsite as a general stagehand to move, position, and strike event equipment
  • Travel independently to offsite events and work in varying weather conditions
  • Operate scissor lifts, forklifts, and trucks once properly trained and certified
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and use PPE appropriately, promoting a culture of safety awareness
  • Assist the Fleet Manager with vehicle inspections, maintenance coordination, and minor repairs as assigned
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support warehouse, office, and onsite operations
