About The Position

In partnership with the VP & Chief Philanthropy Officer and Community Benefit, the Events Specialist plans, coordinates, and implements a wide variety of fundraising activities and signature events, including but not limited to, the Walk for Hope, the Elliot Garden Party, the Elliot Golf Classic and Fall Fest Golf, and the Elliot Health System Gala events. This role will partner with the departmental staff to engage corporate donors and event participants; and will also have additional responsibilities for supporting internal Elliot Health Systems events, as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree required OR equivalent years of professional service in the philanthropy field required.
  • A current and valid driver’s license must be maintained throughout the duration of appointment in this position.
  • A minimum of three-five (3-5) years of fundraising events or project management experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or fundraising certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and implement a wide variety of fundraising activities and signature events.
  • Coordinate and implement all logistics for fundraising activities and signature events.
  • Manage and implement sponsorship table/ticket sale activities and planning/implementing and onsite fundraising activities for all events.
  • Manage external Elliot fundraising and third-party fundraising opportunities in cooperation with other Mary & John Elliot Charitable Foundation team members.
  • Engage in outreach for event sponsorship and Corporate Partnership Program in partnership with the Executive Director of Philanthropy.
  • Participate in the strategic planning process for the department to maximize the opportunities for charitable giving.
  • Manage the identification of prospective donors and provide research data, list management, and updated accounts for these individuals and corporate donors in support of Elliot Health System programs.
  • Represent the Foundation and maintain a visible presence across the Elliot Health System and within the greater Manchester, New Hampshire community.
  • Provide support to key internal Elliot Health System events (ie: system-wide recognition events), as requested.
