The opportunity We currently have an opportunity for a Events Specialist to join our Marketing and Communications team based in our New York City, NY office on a hybrid schedule. The Events Specialist will be responsible for coordinating all event planning efforts and duties on behalf of the US Intact Insurance Specialty Group. This includes event planning and coordination, broker and marketing communications, and all other event marketing-related tasks required to support the continued growth of the global specialty lines of business. This is an ideal role for someone who views events as a strategic growth lever and is excited to build scalable, repeatable experiential marketing programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 6-8 years of experience in event planning or hospitality field
  • Relevant insurance or financial services industry experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and work non-traditional hours as needed.
  • Must have proper documents for traveling within the US (Real ID or Passport)
  • Ability to obtain a passport in the future for international travel

Responsibilities

  • Event planning with a focus on conferences and events. Events may include: internal meetings and retreats, premier broker partner events, regional marketing events, sponsored events, and industry conferences.
  • Develop, promote, and execute strategic events to create memorable experiences, drive brand awareness, and lead generation.
  • Define event goals, target audience, and marketing strategies to align with business objectives.
  • Translate event strategy into detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring high quality and on-brand execution.
  • Manage vendors, venues, speakers, logistics, and budgets with operational rigor and efficiency.
  • Plan and promote events via marketing channels, liaising with Marketing & Communications colleagues.
  • Work closely with senior team members to ensure smooth execution of events and alignment with business goals.
  • Identify and define additional event marketing opportunities for the organization’s existing and potential markets.
