About The Position

Evidenced Based Practices in Juvenile Detention Internship College to County Internship 2026 - Multnomah County Juvenile Detention Pay Rate: $24 per hour Job Type: Temporary College Intern Duration: Summer 2026 - Starting in July - 12 weeks Hours: 30 hours a week Telework: In Person Only Building Physical Location: 1401 NE 68th Ave Portland OR 97213 Does This Position Require Driving a County Vehicle? If so, please explain why and frequency: No TriMet Passes are available if transportation to County facilities is required. Eligibility requirements and more details found on our College to County website. What Does the EBP Team Do? EBP (Evidence Based Practice) is the systematic use of interventions, policies, and decision-making approaches that are grounded in rigorous research and proven to improve outcomes for youth. EBP Leads work with juvenile detention line staff and managers to bring evidence-based approaches to our youth enrichment programs.They work with the department's Volunteer and Internship Programs Manager to host community partners and volunteers who offer a variety of groups and learning/social opportunities for our youth. They are also Juvenile Custody Support Specialists (JCSS) who provide direct youth supervision when required. EBP Leads collaborate with unit staff to support staff-led skill building and goal setting groups. Internship Description & Responsibilities: This position directly supports the work of the EBP lead in juvenile detention with current and future projects.
