Job Summary: Under the supervision of the EVS shift supervisor, this position is responsible for daily cleaning of patient rooms, offices, restrooms, clinics, lobbies, and other ancillary spaces in the medical center in accordance with Environmental Services infection control practices and regulatory standards. The EVS Tech provides services to ensure the facility is aesthetically and hygienically clean and acceptable for our patients, families, staff and guests. Qualifications: Education High School Diploma (preferred) Work Experience Minimum two (2) years Housekeeping experience in healthcare or hospitality (preferred) Minimum three (3) years Frontline customer experience (preferred) Skills and Abilities Must be able to read, write legibly, understand, and follow oral instruction. Must be able to communicate effectively with department staff, hospital employees, physicians, patients and public, and work independently using good judgment and common sense. Must be able to apply disinfection cleaning practice as acquired through training. Good customer/patient relations skills. Must be able to handle cleaning chemicals when in use and secure from public contact. Must be able protect confidential patient information. Bilingual Skills Preferred.
