About The Position

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a senior‑level Exchange Engineer to support the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE). In this role, you will administer, secure, and maintain the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN), ensuring the availability, stability, and cybersecurity of systems that power enterprise‑wide modeling, simulation, and training. You will work closely with technical teams to maintain Microsoft server environments, support Exchange operations, apply DoD STIGs, and troubleshoot issues critical to mission readiness.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience OR 9 years with a Bachelor’s in a related field OR 7 years with a Master’s in a related field OR 4 years with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field
  • Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certification
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have a current or active secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
  • Server Subject Matter Expert
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server administration (2016+)
  • Experience with Active Directory, Domain Controllers, and DNS
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019
  • Experience withTroubleshooting mail flow and Outlook/OWA connectivity
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
  • Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements Software Engineer family.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge/experience with managing Database Availability Groups (DAG)
  • Knowledge/experience with GPO management
  • Knowledge/experience with WSUS or SCCM
  • Applying DoD STIGs and patching servers/workstations
  • Experience installing release upgrades highly preferred
  • Linux+ or Microsoft certification preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related discipline

Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain Microsoft Windows servers, workstations, and associated infrastructure.
  • Manage GPOs, DHCP reservations, STIG implementation, and patching.
  • Troubleshoot Exchange mail flow, Outlook/OWA issues, and DAG performance.
  • Maintain Active Directory, Domain Controllers, DNS, and integration with Exchange services.
  • Create and update SOPs, deliver Tier 2 support, and train junior personnel.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure system readiness across the enterprise.
  • Work independently and within a team in a dynamic technical environment.
