We invite you to start your career journey with us and look forward to hearing from you. Job SummaryThe role is for an Executive Chef Purchaser who is constantly seeking a better way to conduct business. This key leadership position is directly responsible for the successful operation of Dining Services. Top priorities are inventory, purchasing, and COGA to ensure all revenue goals are met by controlling food and supply costs, by performing the required duties personally or through supervisors with the help of the Senior Executive Chef. The role will include training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems. This role will assist with the overall direction, coordination, safety, and evaluation of this unit and have supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Three+ years of direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control.
  • Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience is desirable.
  • Strong supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, client, customer and associate levels.
  • Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • ServSafe® Certified.

Responsibilities

  • Purchases all food, chemicals and paper supplies.
  • Keeps the COGA accurate and updated daily.
  • The walk-in coolers, freezer and all dry storage spaces are to be kept organized and cleaned every day. With the help of the receivers.
  • Develops SOPs to ensure monthly CFE audit, Eco Sure audit, weekly safety initiatives, Webtrition, Food buy compliance, and daily pre-shift.
  • Establishes and enforces nutrition, sanitation, safety and merchandising standards.
  • Assures compliance with all sanitation Serve-Safe and safety requirements.
  • Other tasks may be assigned.
