AMD seeks a seasoned communications professional with demonstrated experience in planning and executing communications for a fast-paced, growing global organization. This role will be focused on supporting the SVP and GM of the Compute and Enterprise AI group. The right person must be an excellent communicator and strong writer – with the ability to keep complex topics simple. You’ll also need to be able to manage multiple programs at once in a fast-paced environment and be able to pivot quickly when needed. Candidates must have proven success and capabilities developing and executing strategic external and employee communications plans, with specific knowledge and experience in the semiconductor market being particularly valuable. The ability to collaborate with senior executives and cross-functionally with other communicators, human resources, business function leads, and employees to align communications programs across the company is critical. The position entails developing and managing strong partnerships with C suite-level and senior business/regional leaders, while developing and delivering comprehensive external and internal communication strategies in support of thought leadership, brand recognition, and employee engagement.

  • Experience developing communications tied to business objectives (news announcements, earnings, market moments).
  • Demonstrated background creating content and messaging for diverse internal/external audiences across a variety of formats, including marquee events attendance, press and analyst relationships, social amplification, and employee communications (emails, blogs, employee events, etc).
  • A track record of working closely with senior executives as a strategic communications counselor on communications strategies and activities.
  • Strong ability to drive content creation and creative direction of PowerPoints and oversight of presentation development.
  • Ability to think and communicate clearly. The ideal candidate will routinely take complicated issues and create concise communications deliverables to effectively communicate the company’s point of view.
  • Excellent writing skills, painstaking attention to details, and ability to navigate ambiguous issues to create concise messaging and plans.
  • The ability to work effectively under deadline and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
