The Executive Director, Corporate Banking Relationship Manager manages overall relationships with many US based corporations, throughout the Santander footprint, across all products. Serve as the primary contact for client group, developing and driving opportunities to sell the banks products and services. Deliver specified budget and financial metrics. Acts as a liaison with the client, client coverage team, credit and other business partners, including subsidiary bankers and product sales across regions to help deliver the firm to the client. Supports ad hoc requests from clients, interacting across internal stakeholders. Assists with ensuring assigned client portfolio is kept current with all aspects of the firm’s KYC/AML requirements. Monitors credit exposure across the family relationship and partner with Credit Risk on credit related asks. Manages due diligence, credit, coverage, reference data and other requirements resulting from corporate actions. Participates in client planning activities and client calls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Business, Finance, Economics, or equivalent field. - Required.
  • 12+ Years Relevant work experience - Required.
  • Significant Corporate Banking or related product experience.
  • Strong Corporate Banking background with experience navigating complex global organizations.
  • Deep knowledge of credit.
  • Strong and diverse product knowledge.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sales skills in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to utilize full range of prospecting sales activities.
  • Self starter and able to self generate sales prospects and pipeline.
  • Proven ability to build and develop relationships.
  • Strong internal network will be critical to success.
  • Highly self-motivated to work independently and on broad based teams that cross Lines of Business.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable working in an environment that is evolving and subject to change.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree: Business, Finance, Economics, or equivalent field. - Preferred.
