About The Position

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking an Executive Director – Head of Equities Product Control within CIB Finance. This leadership role directs the Product Control function supporting the Equities business, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of profit and loss reporting, balance sheet substantiation, and the overall control environment. The position collaborates with Equities business units, Finance leadership, Risk, Operations, and Technology to deliver business objectives while maintaining compliance with internal governance and external regulatory requirements. In this role, you will: Lead the Equities Product Control organization, supporting cash equities, equity derivatives, financing, and related businesses. Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly P&L production and reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely escalation of issues. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of PLA greeks and related risk, enabling effective analysis of market movements and informed risk mitigation strategies within Equities Product Control. Ensure robust balance sheet substantiation, reconciliations, and financial controls across Equities portfolios. Partner with Equities business leadership on new initiatives, product changes, and strategic priorities, providing finance and control perspective. Maintain a strong risk and control framework, including adherence to internal policies, governance standards, and RCSA requirements. Represent Equities Product Control in regulatory exams, internal audits, and senior management governance forums. Lead and develop global Product Control teams, including onshore and offshore resources, focusing on talent development, accountability, and operational resilience. Drive process improvement, standardization, automation, and data quality initiatives in partnership with Technology and Finance Transformation.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Finance experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of management or leadership experience

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Control, Markets Finance, or related financial control roles
  • Extensive experience supporting Equities businesses, including cash equities, equity derivatives, and financing products
  • Proven experience leading teams and complex operating environments within a regulated financial institution
  • Strong knowledge of P&L reporting, balance sheet controls, and financial governance
  • Ability to effectively partner with senior stakeholders and provide credible challenge
  • Strong leadership, communication, and execution skills
  • Experience interacting with regulators, internal audit, and risk management functions.
  • Exposure to large-scale finance transformation or operating model change initiatives.
