About The Position

This position is responsible for assessing client fitness and athletic performance capacities, identifying areas of disfunction in movement, and opportunities for improvement. Works with clients and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment programs to assist in rehabilitation, return to play, injury prevention, and/or sports performance goals. Posting Specifics Shift Details: Full time - 32 hours a week This role will work the following shifts: Mid-August through May Monday: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tuesday 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Thursday 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. June through mid August M-Th: 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. This schedule is subject to change in collaboration with the caregiver based on department needs and training volume. If it is an Intermountain paid holiday they will not work. Occasionally a Friday or Saturday shift may be added to participate in community outreach or special events.   • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field at an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

  • Completes assessments on new clients, creates exercise plan.
  • Delivers exercise plan as outlined in 1:1, small group, and large groups.
  • Delivers & oversees "Speed and Power" program for developing athletes; communicating as needed with physical therapist, parents, and coaches on progress.
  • Owns development and delivery of sports science assessments.
  • Ensures quality in results delivery to athletes, record keeping of athlete progress, and all training related aspects of our operation.
  • Assists in organizational and administrative tasks such as phone calls, emails, scheduling, and taking payments.
  • Educates clients regarding exercise technique and appropriate use of equipment.
  • Documents results and training in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
  • Maintains equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment.
  • Maintains a clean and inviting work environment according to health department codes and facility standards.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and oversight to Exercise Therapists and Exercise Specialists.
  • Prominent responsibilities in establishing and maintaining strategic relationships, community outreach, and all growth efforts for our sports performance facility.
