About The Position

HonorHealth is looking for an Exercise Physiologist to support Neuro Wellness at the prestigious Bob Bove' Neuroscience Institute. This role will support patients a range of neurological disorders that may include Parkinson Disease, Multiple sclerosis, stroke recover, balance concerns, and more. The ideal candidate must meet the minimum requirements Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology and a current BLS (Basic Life Support) card. To ensure success in the role prior experience or a background in group exercise or personal training is needed along with certifications in PWR, TRX, and/or Rock Steady Boxing will add to the care given to this patient demographic. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field - Required
Clinical Other\BCLS - Basic Life Support CPR Certified Upon Hire - Required

Nice To Haves

At least one (1) year experience PREFERRED
Certification - PWR, TRX, or Rock Steady Boxing HIGHLY PREFERRED
Experience or background in group exercise and/or personal training is HIGHLY PREFERRED
1 year Exercise Physiologist - Preferred
Other Exercise facility marketing and management. - Preferred
Rehab\ISMA - Fitness Instructor Certification ACSM Exercise Specialist Certified - Preferred

Responsibilities

Leads and monitors daily classes.
Assumes daily supervision of individual exercise programs and supervision of contract staff as needed.
Updates exercise recommendations on all individual exercise program participants.
Progresses client exercises according to individual abilities.
Updates exercise recommendations on all individual exercise program participants.
Provides assessment, education, and documentation of clients’ individual exercise programs.
Refers to appropriate program for client assistance in achieving health goals.
Performs other departmental duties related to health promotion, staff meetings, public relations, marketing, collection of membership dues, record keeping, and scheduling.
Serves as a Resource person for Outpatient Therapy Services and other staff as needed.
Leads exercise groups in stretching and/or strength training and if asked to give lectures on fitness-related topics.
Meets regularly with Supervisor and provides Supervisor with updates on facility operations.
