The Exercise Physiologist advances health and fitness by performing evidence-based assessments, creating individualized exercise prescriptions, and coaching behavior change for apparently healthy clients and individuals with stable, medically managed conditions. The role conducts submaximal evaluations of cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, balance, and body composition while monitoring non-diagnostic responses (e.g., heart rate, blood pressure, rating of perceived exertion, symptoms) to ensure safe participation. The Exercise Physiologist collaborates with clients, referring providers, and wellness team members to support participation, performance improvement, and sustainable lifestyle change.
