About The Position

This position performs a variety of labor and customer service functions at the Eco Hut. Anticipated start date is June 1, 2026; anticipated end date is July 8, 2026.

Requirements

Excellent customer service and ability to work cooperatively with team members and others.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to understand/retain information on the 22nd DAA’s environmental stewardship.
Interest/knowledge/education in the natural environment, environmental protection, environmental policy, etc.

Responsibilities

Assist in the set-up, maintenance, and tear down of exhibits within the Eco Hut.
Assist volunteer agencies/groups with transport and set up of exhibit materials.
Perform manual labor involved in the maintenance of exhibits and interactives.
Clean and maintain exhibits, which may include using tools and equipment.
Interact with guests to provide knowledge and understanding of the 22nd DAA’s environmental stewardship.
Keep abreast of information to answer questions and concerns with timely and knowledgeable responses in person.
Practice good physical work methods and utilize good work habits.
Wear proper personal protective equipment (e.g., gloves, googles), if necessary, and maintain a safe work environment.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested when needed.
Engage with fair guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Answer questions and provide information about the Eco Hut/22nd DAA’s environmental stewardship.
Assists in promoting our fair values by creating quality guest experiences for both internal and external customers.
Promotes the District's F.A.I.R. values by creating quality guest experience for both internal and external customers.
