D.A. Davidson & Co., a leading investment banking firm, is seeking a full-time Analyst to join the firm’s Equity Capital Markets group based in New York City. The Analyst will play an essential role assisting senior bankers with originating and executing public equity offerings and private placements for the firm’s clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with outstanding academic achievement.
  • Currently live in or ability to relocate to New York City metro area.
  • Experience in finance, accounting or consulting, in investment banking, capital markets or trading.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy and accountability.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical background with creative problem solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong work ethic and team oriented.
  • Self-motivated, with the flexibility to work long hours, nights, and weekends, as needed.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) is required.
  • A strong interest in the equity capital markets.
  • Energetic with a proactive mentality and desire to participate in helping grow the business.

Responsibilities

  • Create pitch books, market updates and other client materials.
  • Identify market trends and conduct analyses used in client communications.
  • Communicate with investment banking, sales, trading and research to discuss industry trends and investor feedback.
  • Assist senior bankers in the origination, structuring and execution of capital markets transactions.
  • Perform ad hoc shareholder and trading analyses.
  • Leverage new and existing technologies to re-engineer and streamline internal business processes.
