Department: Oncology Location: Comprehensive Cancer Center, Winston Salem Campus Shift Schedule: Full time, Nights 7p-7a , 3rd weekend rotation Residency Program: New Graduate RNs at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist receive supportive training led by dedicated nurse educators, including clinical orientation, specialty-specific learning, and skill-building in clinical decision-making, teamwork, communication, and career development. Oncology: This unit specializes in leukemia and symptom management. With 40 beds, the unit supports long patient stays, fostering strong relationships with patients and families. Requirements

• New Grad- Less than 1 year RN experience
• Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines

Responsibilities

• Patient/Family Centered Care: Utilize the nursing process to deliver compassionate care, placing patients and their families at the center of every decision. Conduct thorough assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan interventions, and coordinate care to promote optimal health and wellbeing in accordance with the policies of WFBH.
• Patient Discharge & Referrals: Participates in multidisciplinary discharge planning referrals to hospital and community resources as needed.
