As an Expeditor, you’ll have the responsibility to support services in expediting parts and supplies either in inventory control or shipping/receiving, operation of materials handling equipment, verifying and documenting records and transactions for shipping/receiving or inventory of materials, engines or components.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and customers
  • Ability to get along with coworkers and peers
  • Must have at least two years experience in a production control or materials function (experience within a commercial manufacturing or distribution warehouse
  • Must have specific knowledge of parts and processes within a production control function and be able to expedite parts, scheduling and tracking on a daily basis or have documented experience in at least two of the following areas:  receiving, shipping, packing, stockroom and material handling
  • Must be able to learn to operate computer terminals and be able to read and interpret part-number systems
  • A valid forklift operator’s license (preferred)
  • Good computer and data entry skills
  • Must be authorized to work In the US

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect new or serviceable parts, including separation of customer parts for proper routing and storage and complete receiving and inspection reports for all parts to include verification of serial numbers and initial condition of components/parts.
  • Inspects all incoming engines, including opening containers, verifying contents including logbooks, engines, additional parts/materials and verification of contents and serial numbering systems.
  • Analyze and review data to assure proper disposition of materials and parts, including identification of miss-allocated parts, rerouting as appropriate and processing required paperwork.
  • Maintain commercial parts reports/files for customer parts.
  • May operate forklifts or related materials handling equipment to move materials to proper areas.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts and research discrepancies on commercial parts including quantities 
  • Perform miscellaneous clerical and statistical assignments.
  • Post commercial issues for all programs, commercial receipts for purchase and commercial receipts for parts stocked and reconcile with system reports.
  • May pack and prepare items for shipment or storage.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures in the performance of the job.
