About The Position

Kimley-Horn's Greenwood Village, Colorado (CO) office is seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer or Analyst with 1+ years of experience to join their Power Delivery team! Responsibilities Design of Power Delivery Infrastructure systems, including transmission lines, distribution lines, and substations Participate on project teams in an active production role Participate in project meetings internally and externally with clients Preparation of project specifications Preparation of conceptual and detailed calculations contributing to creation of construction documents and specifications Daily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines Coordination and verification of as-built drawings Perform quality work that promotes client retention Responsible for the development of reports and design documents for various projects Qualifications 1+ years of design experience in transmissions, distributions, or communication line design Holds Engineer-In-Training (EIT), Engineer Intern (EI), or the ability to obtain within 6 months Understanding of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC), Rural Utility Service (RUS) Electrical Bulletins, ASCE-7, or California General Order 95, and other ASCE/IEEE/CIGRE standards Transmission Line Modeling (PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole) experience a plus Superior verbal and written communication skills The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment Why Kimley-Horn? Requirements

  • 1+ years of design experience in transmissions, distributions, or communication line design
  • Holds Engineer-In-Training (EIT), Engineer Intern (EI), or the ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Understanding of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC), Rural Utility Service (RUS) Electrical Bulletins, ASCE-7, or California General Order 95, and other ASCE/IEEE/CIGRE standards
