About The Position

The Financial Counselor is an important member of the Centennial Peaks Hospital’s business office team. The Financial Counselor provides counseling to patients by explaining insurance benefits and collecting out of pocket costs up front. The Financial Counselor also monitors and reviews past due bills and follow up documents. We are looking for candidates who can identify problem delinquencies and recommend their appropriate disposition. We are looking for an employee who promotes a positive working environment and guest relations. This position will be working with our Out-Patient population. Centennial Peaks Hospital has been providing psychiatric services to the Denver-metro area for more than 30 years. Located in beautiful Louisville, CO, our 104-bed facility provides a peaceful setting for those seeking treatment for mental illness including chemical dependency. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED.
  • At least 2 years of collections experience REQUIRED.
  • Previous experience in follow up with insurance companies, insurance verifications, and prior healthcare experience REQUIRED.
  • A working knowledge of insurance terms, reimbursement procedures, medical terminology and hospital services strongly preferred.
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-volume setting is required.
  • Skill working with computerized accounting or EMR systems REQUIRED.
  • Positive attitude and a team player.
