About The Position

Assists the Trade / Line Manager in all aspects of their activity, aimed at increasing the revenue, while maximizing the volume, and market share. Generates and interprets reports and analyses of the market and customer data, trends and internal KPIs to maintain, expand, and evaluate, the current and future business prospects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, supply chain or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
2-3 years of experience in a similar role (shipping, transportation, or supply chain sector, on a commercial role (e.g. sales, inside sales, sales reporting), marketing, data analysis, business analysis)
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis in Excel, PowerBI and other reporting tools
Knowledge of supply chain (ocean shipping preferred)

Responsibilities

Assists the Trade / Line Manager in planning, implementing, evaluating, monitoring, and forecasting budgets, costs, sales, and revenue to achieve financial objectives for the assigned trade.
Tracks, measures, and analyzes commercial metrics and P&L specific to the trade region.
Builds recurrent and ad hoc reports requested by the Trade / Line Manager and MSC Head Quarters.
Gathers, analyses, and interprets market data for the assigned region, to identify potential risks, challenges, impact of various events and trends, and opportunities. Helps the Trade / Line Manager build response plans to mitigate the risks and use the opportunities.
Helps the Trade / Line Manager to strategize new and existing trade routes, considering costs, infrastructure, volume, potential, and compliance requirements.
Provides customers, sales, other agencies with pricing and services based on demand, while interacting with MSC Head Quarters.
Collaborates with multiple departments across divisions to enhance the customer experience and expand the business for the respective trade region (e.g. Sales, Traffic, Customer Service, Documentation etc.).
Constantly identifies new market opportunities to increase the business volume, revenue, and customer satisfaction. Develops and maintains strategic relationship with current and new customers.
Coordinates the team of business analyst(s) under the directions of the Trade/Line manager and ensure that each assigned task is completed.
Acts as a back-up when the Trade / Line Manager is not present, based on clear guidelines.
Performs other related duties as assigned to support the Trade / Line Manager daily activities.
