About The Position

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring an Express Lube Technician in Chesapeake, Virginia. The Express Lube Technician position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance services on heavy equipment located on customer job sites or in a shop setting as needed. Seeking candidates with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a shop service environment; High school diploma or GED required.

Requirements

Strong mechanical aptitude, with ability to perform responsibilities at customer job site with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work overtime as required by job and customer demand.
Must have an excellent driving record and the ability to obtain a CDL or DOT certification.
Extensive travel required throughout the year.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a shop service environment
High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Performing preventative maintenance services on heavy equipment located on customer job sites or in a shop setting as needed.
Operating boom truck or equivalent.
Proper use of overhead and field service cranes.
Operating a variety of equipment in the field and on customer job-sites.
Use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and service software required in position; able to complete service reports and provide pertinent details for work orders.
Comply with all safety and environmental requirements.
Efficient use of supplies, with limited waste.
