About The Position

Tonkin Hillsboro Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, a premier automotive dealership proudly serving the Hillsboro community, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Express Service Advisor to join our high-performing Service Team. Conveniently located in Hillsboro, we are committed to delivering exceptional customer care, supporting our technicians, and creating a fast, seamless service experience for every guest who visits our dealership. As an Express Service Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient service lane experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience required; automotive service experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to upsell maintenance services ethically and effectively.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Basic understanding of automotive maintenance services (oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to learn dealership management systems.
  • Corporate requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record, able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally in the express service lane.
  • Consult with customers regarding routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections.
  • Accurately write repair orders and verify customer and vehicle information.
  • Clearly explain recommended services, pricing, and estimated completion times.
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of express services.
  • Monitor workflow in the express lane to maintain efficiency and minimize wait times.
  • Keep customers informed of service progress and notify them of any additional recommendations.
  • Process payments and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming service drive area.
  • Follow dealership policies and manufacturer guidelines to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Support the Service Team with additional tasks as needed to maintain smooth daily operations.
