About The Position

Entry-level position with minimal experience in the extrusion process. Responsible for helping operators ensure smooth, uninterrupted operation of extruder, including light maintenance and preventative maintenance (including daily, weekly and monthly cleaning detail). Must have forklift and clamp truck experience. Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED is preferred. Must have mechanical aptitude and ability to assist, follow directions and troubleshoot repair and maintenance of extruder line. Basic computer skills a plus. Skills and Abilities Requirements: Good mechanical aptitude with experience and ability to use standard hand tools. Good communication skills. Ability to read, write and speak in English, understanding equipment manuals and diagrams. Must be able to adhere to strict PPE requirements, including wearing face shields, earmuffs, gloves and steel-toe boots. Forklift and clamp truck driving experience. Certification will be onsite. Other duties as assigned: Ability to work a 12 hour shift, standing and walking for extended periods. Climbing, lift and carry products weighing up to 50 lbs. Visually read various safety postings, bulletin boards, operating instructions, and computer monitors / screens. Hear safety warning devices and alarms. Must be prompt in reporting to work and prompt in notifying supervisor if unable to report to work. Requirements
