About The Position

Assists in operation of the Cast Line

Position Purpose: Assists in operation of the Cast Line

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required
• Ability to regularly lift large lightweight items above head required
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis

Responsibilities

• Assists with the safe, controlled start-up and operation of the cast line extruder and process equipment including starting the machine, engaging the feed, observing the operation, and managing changeover process.
• Assists in maintaining blending system including mix recipes.
• Assists in inspecting and measuring completed pieces to verify conformity to customer production standards.
• Assists in monitoring and adjusting controls to ensure product complies with production standards.
• Assists in maintaining equipment through completion of assigned preventative maintenance tasks and minor repair techniques as required.
• Assists in recording quality and production metrics via written communication methods and within time deadlines as necessary.
• Performs all work in a safety first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor
