Job Description Base Pay: $20.00 Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Monday-Friday DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operates forklift to receive, deliver, and otherwise move materials between and throughout our manufacturing plant in North Brunswick, New Jersey. The primary tasks are to receive orders from assembly lines and deliver requested materials, and to use a forklift to unload truckloads and move materials around the facility, including metal bins, cardboard gaylords, and scrap and waste generated in the 2nd shift. Also, must assist in setting our floor for proper motion, along with supporting the inventory periods of record Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments in accordance with safety protocols Verify and process incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips Prepare outbound shipments by properly packaging, labeling, and documenting materials Operate material-handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Organize storage areas to ensure efficient space utilization. Moves PVC scrap materials from the staging area into the grinder Moves full lineal bins from the fabrication to the warehouse staging area Supports production lines: from the start of the shift to the end of the shift (Handover). Receives order lists, incoming radio calls, or in-person requests for PVC materials Must prioritize orders and determine the sequence of delivery Must identify when to stop one task and begin another based on production needs Report any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor Assist with general warehouse maintenance, organization, and inventory Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment Must be able to safely and effectively operate the forklift, using both hands and feet, as well as visual and auditory senses

Requirements

  • Experience: 2-3 years of operating forklift experience
  • Knowledge: High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certification is mandatory
  • Ability to read, write, and speak simple English as appropriate to a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Must be able to read production tags, production paperwork, safety warning labels, and signs
  • Must be able to verbally communicate with coworkers, leads, and supervisor regarding the production process and safety-related information
  • Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division calculations.
  • Apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, physically demonstrated, or diagrammed form
  • Ability to prioritize work tasks according to production requirements.
  • Knowledge of all safety practices and procedures established by OSHA
  • Broad knowledge of production line mapping, products, and procedures.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
