Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude, including the ability to calculate flow rates and measure circumference accurately.
  • Ability to read and interpret customized blueprints, safety rules, operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and other technical documentation.
  • Ability to write clear, accurate reports and correspondence, with proficiency in completing required documentation such as DPRs, inventory management forms and data collections records.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate extrusion machinery.
  • Perform machine changeovers and repairs as needed.
  • Recommend preventative maintenance (PM) improvements and apply effective troubleshooting logic.
  • Accurately measure work‑in‑process (WIP) and finished assemblies using both inches and centimeters.
  • Operate a variety of complex equipment while consistently meeting quality standards, production targets, and cost objectives.
  • Run all operations in accordance with the Development Product Record (DPR) or Work Instruction (WI) guidelines.
  • Participate in project teams by providing technical support to engineering and product development.
  • Establish processing parameters on all extrusion equipment to ensure consistently exceptional product quality.
  • Perform complete equipment setup, adjustments, startups, and shutdowns.
  • Qualify new tooling and processes by performing validation testing as required.
  • Maintain all required documentation related to extrusion equipment, product status, raw resin inventory, and WIs, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory standards.
  • Inspect raw materials and finished products for visible defects and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
