About The Position

F-35 Maintenance Trainer: Candidate will work as F-35 Mechanical and Structures Instructor/Subject Matter Expert (SME) and conduct F-35 Mechanical/LO Academic & Hands-on training to F-35 customers at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. Conduct classroom academic lectures, provide practical laboratory demonstrations, monitor computer based training, and provide academics, testing and evaluation. Also includes remedial student training, revision and development of student training lesson plans and associated training materials, and syllabi. Ensures classroom/laboratory/learning center and equipment are operational and ready for training. Must have the ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS Sites for support. Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, work at heights, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Additional duties and related responsibilities will be assigned as required. Will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin Training Team to achieve F-35 Maintenance Training objectives. Will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies as directed. Comply with site security and access control procedures in accordance with JSF Program and customer procedures. Must have worked in an environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature. Candidate required to work a flexible schedule aligned to customer operational needs, 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.

Requirements

  • Must have knowledge in the operation and integration of 4th and 5th generation fighter mechanical system and LO with 3-5 years in Fighter airframe systems maintenance experience.
  • Must have experience in academic and/or OJT training on 4th and 5th generation military fighter aircraft.
  • Active Secret Clearance with investigation within 5 years.
  • Candidate required to work a flexible schedule aligned to customer operational needs, 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
