You will be the F-35 Systems Engineer (Fuel) - Level 3 for the Fluid and Mechanical Systems Team which is responsible for supporting production, sustainment, and development of the F 35 fuel system. Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering

Nice To Haves

  • Prior technical team experience related to the development or support of aircraft fuel systems
  • Experience with defense / aerospace industry supplier management
  • Proactive task management and collaborative personality
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Experience troubleshooting faults on complex systems
  • Familiar with technical documentation (e.g. AEI, manufacturing plans, repairs)
  • Experience running Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) projects
  • Experience creating, updating, and releasing engineering drawings
  • Experience with any of the following industry analysis tools: Amesim MATLAB CATIA V4, V5, or V6 3DX

Responsibilities

  • Support development, test, and production of fuel components.
  • Perform supplier coordination and technical oversight, including preparation of specifications and statements of work.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause investigations for aircraft and system issues, delivering actionable resolutions.
  • Lead quote and bid kickoff activities, providing technical input and estimates.
