About The Position

The Sous Chef position is to support a brand new Trader Vic and  Plum Market for this location: Provide flexibility to work any shift, any day of the week, including weekends & holidays  Work a full-time schedule

Requirements

  • Leadership qualities and demonstrated organizational skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with diverse personalities.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to stand and walk throughout the shift
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Have a Driver’s License
  • Two years of previous Sous Chef experience required. Multi-store management experience required for multi-store locations

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or above preferred

Responsibilities

  • Model and provide exceptional Guest Service and effectively resolve Guest issues.
  • Will open the kitchen, or manage the mid shift, and train, mentor and coach Team Members to succeed.
  • Daily execution and maintenance of all prepared foods items. Must adhere to the Plum Market program as directed.
  • Assign prep lists and complete prep list given by Chef de Cuisine.
  • Place orders, receive orders, direct utility Team Members on proper stocking and rotation of inventory.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation.
  • Maintain all compliance logs.
  • Must track Team Member time and attendance in the absence of the Chef de Cuisine.
  • Ensure Team Member compliance of all relevant policies and standards
  • Completes on a timely basis all administrative work as assigned by the Chef, (i.e. scheduling, back-office administration).
  • Performs daily/ weekly operational audits.
  • Ensures adherence to all promotional programs and reports deficiencies in compliance to the Chef.
  • Performs daily inspections in the kitchen to ensure company standards in visual presentation, stock replenishment and housekeeping are maintained.
  • Fulfills all responsibilities of the Chef in his/her absence including responsiveness to landlord and home office requests.
