About The Position

Primary Focus: The primary role of the Fabrication Forklift Driver is to provide all required materials to the department before they are required. Specific Accountabilities: Operates forklift equipment as required, ensuring that safety standards are followed. Moves raw materials to fabrication machines as assigned Conduct all materials movement procedures in accordance with established Company policies and procedures and safety regulations. Place all materials in the designated area. Ensure all material is verified accurate per request designated Communicate with Supervisors to ensure clear lines of communication. Multi-task and prioritization in accordance with company daily schedule and requirements. Monitor and report any material damage or discrepancies. Hoppers are to be dumped after machines change their cut material. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent; training in forklift operation and safety certifications preferred.
Must have a valid US Driver License.
Analytical problem solver with good communication skills.
Forklift experience.
Knowledge of inventory receiving, processing, and storage procedures.
Understanding of production line supply requirements and general production operations.
Experience with all safe practices, procedures, and overall processes.
Must meet physical fitness standards necessary for frequent lifting, walking, and standing.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment to ensure seamless operations across departments.
Ability to adapt to changing work schedules, environments, and operational priorities.

Nice To Haves

Microsoft office, preferred.
Experience with Sheet Metal.
Hardware, Electronics, and shop tools a PLUS
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices to enhance operational efficiency preferred.
