The ideal candidate will be capable of planning, directing, and coordinating operations of the fabrication shop, assembly process and inventory control to support the Service Division. This position would require you to execute supervision responsibilities as well as assembly/fabrication work as needed. This position is bound primarily to the fabrication shop at the Indianapolis location with occasional travel to customer locations during normal business hours. A clean driving record is required. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5-7 years’ experience as fabrication supervisor highly preferred.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as business needs arise.
  • Attention to detail, organization skills and ability to work independently or with a team.
  • Strong communication skills whether written, verbal or otherwise required, especially using moderately complex terminology and concepts.
  • Must be willing to travel locally and have a clean driving record.
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Technical school or continued education is a plus.
  • Results-driven personality a plus.
  • Previous work experience with successful management of personnel a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule or coordinate project activities and fabrication shop personnel to meet deadlines.
  • Provide regular updates on production progress and challenges.
  • Implement and enforce quality control standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Manage resources, including materials and equipment, to optimize production.
  • Foster an environment that monitors and maintains proper safety throughout the entire facility.
  • Interpret and understand engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements.
  • Assemble fabricated components according to the provided specifications.
  • Take precise measurements and ensure accuracy in fabrication.
  • Ensure proper alignment and fit of fabricated components.
  • Operate machinery and use equipment to shape and finish fabricated parts.
  • Maintain and clean fabrication tools and equipment.
  • Report any malfunctions or need for repairs.
